Q1: What is ASME?

ASME stands for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. From the official ASME website “The American Society of Mechanical Engineers promotes the art, science, & practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe”.

Q2: Why should I join ASME CSUN?

Our goal at ASME CSUN is to foster the growth of our members and for them to become successful and knowledgeable engineers. Reasons to join include being part of activities including useful workshops (Resume,LinkedIn,etc), going to an elementary school and making paper rockets, and being part of an organization where you can meet other students (Also have an organization to put on your resume!)

Q3: Is there a membership fee for joining?

There is no fee for joining the ASME club at CSUN. However we recommend becoming a member at the official ASME organization which is free for freshman the first year and $25 for each year after that for students. You can go there by clicking here

Q4:  When and where are the meetings going to be?

Meetings will be in Lake Balboa Room and will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m starting Wednesday February 10 and will be every other week so the meeting after that will be February 24.
