Gilberto Rosales is a 5th year Senior at California State University, Northridge. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical engineering, he is predicted to graduate with a B.S. in Spring 2018. Joined ASME as a means to meet other engineering students at CSUN and to partake in ASME’s outreach events. Ran for President as way to learn valuable leadership skills and to give back to ASME’s members.  He hopes to contribute to ASME’s success in helping students become the best engineers they can be.

Vice President: Hamza Hamid

Hamza is currently completing his 4th year at CSUN with two more years to go. He has been an active part of ASME CSUN for two years. He is currently the Vice President of ASME CSUN. He enjoys leading STEM outreach events hosted by the club to make sure children and teens have a good experience with STEM. The reason he joined ASME CSUN was to make friends with like-minded people and to develop engineering experience.
In his free time he likes to browse the news to know the good and bad that is going on in the world, look up Toyota information like their new car models or concept cars, and watch videos.

Jonathan Silva is a fourth year who joined ASME to get involved with a program that would help shape him for the professional world and be a part of a group that commits itself to help others in its’ program for the better of Engineering at CSUN

Webmaster: Nathan  Boyd

Nathan Boyd is a Junior at CSUN studying Mechanical Engineering. He first joined ASME as a Sophomore and is an active event volunteer. As the ASME webmaster, he maintains the website and is responsible for media distributed to the public such as fliers and social networking. Outside ASME, Nathan is an active teammate in the CSUN VexU robotics team, conducts research at the CSUN Systems Engineering and Research Lab (SERL), and teaches robotics and programming at Great Minds Robotics Learning Center.

Event Coordinator: Alfred Javier

Alfred Javier is a 3rd year transfer at California State University, Northridge. He is predicted to graduate with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering at the end of Spring 2017. He first joined ASME’s 2015-2016 student design competition as machining lead. He ran for Event Coordinator to give back to the organization and to learn valuable leadership skills through outreach. Aside from being involved with ASME, he is also one of the project managers for the AERO senior design.
